LeoVegas is now a casino-only option in Ireland

LeoVegas stopped taking Irish sports bets at 06:00 on 24 June 2026, but its casino, live casino and bingo products stayed open. The result is a focused casino site rather than the single sport-and-casino account LeoVegas previously offered.

The site now centres on casino games, live tables, bingo and the shared LeoJackpot pool. That pool stood at about €47.7 million on 31 August 2026, so treat the number as a moving snapshot rather than a fixed prize.

LeoVegas Gaming plc has traded since 2012 and has belonged to MGM Resorts International since 2022. That history, the mobile-first lobby and the large game range put it among the more established casinos available to Irish players, but Irish play still depends on a Malta licence rather than a domestic casino licence.

Opening a LeoVegas account takes four stages

Registration starts with an email address and password, then moves to mobile number and personal details. The form is compact, but the welcome offer is a decision rather than an automatic extra: choose it during signup if you intend to complete the wagering.

LeoVegas may request photo identification, proof of address, payment ownership and source-of-funds information at the deposit or withdrawal stage. Completing those checks before a cash-out reduces the risk of a preventable delay, and the payment method should be in the account holder's name.

The standard deposit minimum is €5, while the casino welcome offer requires €10. New players have 14 days from registration to activate that offer.

MGA protection applies while Irish casino licensing waits

LeoVegas Gaming plc, company number C59314, operates from Sliema under Malta Gaming Authority corporate group licence MGA/CRP/237/2013. The Irish footer links to the MGA verification record and states that the licence covers Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 gaming services.

Ireland's GRAI remote-betting licences began on 1 July 2026, but those initial licences cover betting rather than remote casino gaming. GRAI says gaming applications are due to open in later phases across 2027 and 2028. LeoVegas therefore does not hold an Irish casino licence, and its closed sportsbook is not part of the current product.

If support cannot resolve a complaint, the terms allow free escalation through alternative dispute resolution, including eCOGRA. LeoVegas aims to reply to a complaint within ten days, and an ADR decision is treated as binding where the claim does not exceed €5,000.

LeoVegas lists 7,284 Irish casino games

Our 21 August 2026 review of the Irish catalogue found 7,284 listed games. Slots make up most of the lobby, but there are also live tables, crash games, bingo, jackpots, instant games and digital table titles.

The provider line-up includes Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, ELK Studios, Big Time Gaming, Red Tiger, Playtech and Evolution. LeoVegas Studios adds in-house games such as The Golden Lion, while the exclusives area includes partner-built titles such as Le Bruno.

Popular titles visible during our check included Big Bass Splash, Book of Dead, Sweet Bonanza, Legacy of Dead and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. The lobby also gives useful provider, mechanic and theme filters, which matter at this size.

Public pages let you browse the catalogue, but LeoVegas does not offer open demo play. Individual game pages show volatility and mechanics, while RTP sits inside the game's information panel. LeoVegas Ireland payments: broad choice, but plan around the payout ceiling

LeoVegas supports euro accounts and 11 listed Irish payment options. The standard minimum deposit is €5, although the welcome offer needs at least €10. Irish law prohibits gambling deposits funded by credit cards, so card use should be debit only.

Limits vary by method, so check the figure displayed in your cashier. The standard €5 minimum should not be confused with the €10 threshold for the welcome offer. Cryptocurrency is not listed.

Withdrawals

Paysafecard is not a withdrawal route. Check the exact minimum, maximum and destination in the cashier before depositing. If you use more than one method, expect withdrawals to follow the original funding routes where possible.

The Irish apps are native, but public ratings are thin

LeoVegas has dedicated Irish listings on both iOS and Google Play, with the casino lobby, live games and account access presented as the same mobile-first product. In our 2026 use of the Irish app, the menus were straightforward to navigate. That is a usability impression, not a measured speed test.

Apple's Irish listing showed 3.2/5 from six ratings on 31 August 2026, version 16.9.1 and a minimum requirement of iOS 16.0. Google Play showed 100+ downloads, an update dated 30 July 2026 and no public star rating. Those samples are too small to treat as a reliable quality verdict.

The mobile website is the sensible fallback if you do not want to install an app. Use the App Store and Google Play links from the Irish LeoVegas footer rather than third-party download sites.

LeoVegas offers chat and email, but no published service hours

The Irish site publishes live chat and help@leovegas.com. The chat launcher is easy to find from the support area, but there is no phone number for Irish casino players or clear public service hours. That channel mix supports our 4.3/5 service score: chat and email are useful, but the missing phone route, published hours and measured response time keep it below top marks.

For a payment or account dispute, start with support and keep the chat transcript, emails and transaction references. The terms say the complaints team will aim to respond within ten days, unless external factors cause a delay.

If the complaint remains unresolved, the terms name eCOGRA as one free ADR route. Submit to one service only; the terms say the first ADR to notify LeoVegas will handle the claim.

LeoVegas combines four limit types with account pauses

LeoVegas accounts support deposit, wager, loss and session-time limits on daily, weekly or monthly periods. Tighter limits apply immediately, while a more lenient setting waits one day.

The safer-gambling area also provides time alerts, account history, an anonymous self-assessment and an account-pause route. A definite exclusion can require a one-day cool-off before reopening, while an indefinite exclusion requires seven days. Accounts closed for gambling-addiction reasons remain closed for at least five years.

Ireland's National Gambling Exclusion Register is not active yet, and GRAI lists that obligation among the parts of the 2024 Act that have not commenced. A LeoVegas exclusion therefore applies to LeoVegas rather than every Irish-facing operator.
