The UKGC imposed a £6,071,292 financial penalty on Gamesys Operations Limited, with a decision dated 22 November 2023, for anti-money-laundering and social-responsibility failures between November 2021 and July 2022. It also issued a warning and added a licence condition. This was action against Double Bubble's actual licensee, not an unrelated group company. The regulator's sanction record also notes that Gamesys co-operated, reported corrective steps, and that the review found no evidence of criminal money in the specific customer cases examined.

Bingo has the personality, but the casino is not an afterthought
